We stayed for 2 weeks in 2015 and had a great time we had to cut our stay shirt because one of oir kids had to get stitches otherwise it would have been a month. We love Oldman River ranch we had to leave our camper there for a few days and we got a call because the water was rising fast so we went in with my husbands semi to get it out. We loved camping there and hope to get back there this summer!
We stayed in cabins 1 and 2 for a bachelorette party last weekend.
Super friendly owners and some beautiful spots to camp.
All in all I will defiantly stay again!
Staff: None…. It is self serve. Find a site and put your money in the box. ($25 full hookup). Access for big rigs: Good… mostly because the sites are all in grass with no defined road through them. Drive where you want and pull by a hookup. Sites: All grass, and spaced erratically in no sort of order or straight lines. Visually: Entering campground past lots of heavy equipment and old broke down buildings was scary at first, but once in the grounds it is beautiful, with many sites right on the river. Dumpsters: Up front by the entrance and with recycling. Pool and spa: None. WIFI: None. Cable: None. TV Reception: About 12 channels. A bit sketchy at times. SPRINT cell phone: No service. VERIZON cell phone: Good: Comments: Place is a great stop for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, water tubing, etc. Nice area (beach like) to get into the water. We came here as a one night stop over on our travels and it is very quiet. Noticed Winnebago Industries is about an hour and 20 min away if considering the Free Tours there. Would stop by again. Stayed in a 40ft motor-home towing an F150 toad. The mile or so of road leading up to the campground entrance is all gravel / dust…. And it turned our toad completely white. You will not have a clean vehicle upon leaving.
Once you get to the campground its looks nice but passing the front area makes you ask why did I come here. The best is yet to come just keep going after self check in at office. 25$ night full hooks. Grounds well kept. You will be surprised. I was!!! Didn't use facilities except full hook ups and no issues. Would return.
We had a great time! Beautiful location, nice cabins, lots to do, great view, fire pit and tables. I wished the website was better and I wished the weather would have been better.
